Savannah Angeline Design & Ilustration

From the start of my freelance career, I never had a logo that i felt was "complete" or "me". I threw together my "S.U." Initals and called it a day. Well, that turned out to be a few years. Until this year, where i finally felt i found my style as a designer and artist.

Please note, I still do use my "Designs by Savannah" business  name on all media platforms, at least for the time being.

The logo

I wanted to create a unique logo based on myself and my style (obviously). The logo features my Wacom pen, which is my primary tool. A rose, which has been a pretty prominant and important aspect in my life. That, and I just really love roses. The background features a "night sky", with the dark blue and stars. Astrology has fascianated me my whole life, and the more ways I can reference it, honestly the better.

Those who know me, know I love a dark and earthy aesthetic. Bright colors have never been my thing, and im not ashamed to admit it; I just really love dark and neautral colors. So to match that, I used a combination of both cool and warm, somewhat deep tones. Even the amount of colors I chose surprises me still. However, im very happy with my choices and feel like they are a great fit for my new brand.

fonts

My introduction to my graphic designer life-style was during the peak of the "sans-serif typefaces are superior" trend. Though, through the years of seeing them over used (a lot of times in the wrong way) I've kinda grown bored of it. Dont get my wrong, I still love my select few sans-serif favorites and there will always be a need for them. For my brand, however, I wanted to stray from that path and just do something fun! I fell in love with these font pairings and felt they do a good job of being both modern, elegant, and unique.

business cards

Working in printing, I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. I definitally wanted my cards to be on the "good" side. The informational side features my info and my logo all in white, facing out of one of my main colors seen in my logo. The back side features a copper foil over my name and outline of the logo.

Trying to keep my brand consistant, I use my color pallete for everything, even down to the type. I wanted to make sure I keep my theme of arch-shaped items and the thin border around each page as well.

I wanted my website to reflect my branding in every way, down to the fonts, colors and patterns.

my shop

I opened my Society6 shop for the purpose of just getting my art into peoples hands. If you appreciate my art enough to support me and buy a product, I'd love to see it!
