A client requested a painting of their elder German Shepherd as a tribute to him and his companionship.
I hold this project very dear to my heart, not only because I love dogs, but I too have a German Shepherd and a senior Sheltie as well. I can understand the bond and love the client shared with Rocco.
The Painting
For the background I used water color paints, and for the subject I used acrylic.
Details
The client told me a lot about Rocco, including notable features. They explained he had these, gorgeous, bright, orange eyes. I want to make sure that feature of him was apparent in my painting.
Details
They client also had one main request; due to Rocco's old age, his face had turned very grey. They wanted me to capture his youth, and take away most of the grey that was visible in the photos i was sent.
